What this covers

This Policy explains how we collect, use, and share personal information when you browse our site, buy merchandise, join our mailing list, or book our band for venues, corporate, or private events.

Information we collect

You give us: name, email, phone, billing/shipping address, company/venue details, order info, booking details (event date/time, venue address, tech notes), messages, and marketing preferences.
Automatically: IP address, device/browser, pages viewed, referring URL, approximate location, and cookie data.
From processors/providers: payment confirmations (WooPayments/Stripe, PayPal), fulfillment & shipping status (Printful), email engagement (Mailchimp), basic analytics/security (Jetpack/WordPress).

How we use information

  • Orders & bookings: process payments, produce/ship merch (via Printful), schedule shows, provide support.

  • Website & security: operate, troubleshoot, prevent fraud/abuse.

  • Communications: order updates, customer service, show/merch announcements (with your consent or where allowed).

  • Legal & tax: maintain records and comply with requests.

Legal bases (if you’re in the EEA/UK): contract, legitimate interests, consent (for marketing/cookies), and legal obligation.

Cookies & tracking

We use cookies so the cart/checkout work, to remember preferences, measure performance, and run limited marketing. You can control cookies in your browser and (if enabled) via our cookie banner. If we use Google reCAPTCHA on forms, Google’s Privacy Policy/Terms apply.

Comments & media (if enabled)

If you leave comments, we collect the data shown in the form plus IP and user agent for spam control. An anonymized string from your email may be sent to Gravatar to show your avatar (see Automattic’s privacy policy). If you upload images, avoid EXIF location data; visitors can download and extract it.

Embedded content

Posts/pages may include embedded content (e.g., YouTube, Instagram). Embedded content behaves as if you visited that site and may use its own cookies/trackers.

Who we share data with (service providers)

We don’t sell personal information. We share with:

  • Payments: WooPayments/Stripe; PayPal (wallet). We don’t see full card numbers.

  • Fulfillment/Shipping: Printful, and carriers (USPS/UPS/FedEx).

  • Email/CRM: Mailchimp (subscriber management, campaign delivery).

  • Hosting/Platform/Security/Analytics: WordPress, Automattic/Jetpack, managed hosting/CDN, anti-fraud tools.

  • Event partners: limited booking details with venues/production when required.

  • Legal/compliance: when required by law or to protect rights/safety, or in a merger/asset transfer.

We require processors to use data only for our instructions and to safeguard it appropriately.

Retention

  • Orders/tax records & invoices: 7 years (or as required by law).

  • Booking agreements & related documents: 7 years.

  • Support messages: up to 3 years after resolution.

  • Marketing subscribers: until you unsubscribe; we keep minimal suppression data to honor opt-outs.

  • Web logs: up to 12 months.

Your rights

Depending on your location, you may request to access, correct, delete, port, or restrict your personal data, and you can object to marketing or withdraw consent at any time.

California (CPRA): We do not sell personal information or share it for cross-context behavioral advertising as those terms are defined. You can submit a request to support@hazardcountymusic.com. We’ll verify your identity as required.

Children

Our site and merch are not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect data from children. Minors should only purchase with a parent/guardian. (For EEA/UK marketing consent, local age thresholds may apply.)

International transfers

We are US-based; your data may be processed in the US or other countries. Where required, we rely on appropriate safeguards (e.g., Standard Contractual Clauses) with our processors.

Security

We use HTTPS, access controls, and industry-standard safeguards. No online service can guarantee 100% security.

Changes

We may update this Policy periodically. We’ll revise the “Effective date” and post the new version. For material changes, we may notify you by email or site notice.
